Visit of the French Ambassador H.E. Mr. Hervé Magro
The Order of Malta Lebanon was honored to welcome Hervé Magro for a field visit showcasing several initiatives supported by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs through the “Ghizaa Al Amal” project.
The visit began at the Collège Notre Dame des Sœurs Salvatoriennes in Abra, where Ambassador Magro joined the teams of the Order of Malta Lebanon’s Mobile Community Kitchen in distributing hot meals to children. More than a humanitarian gesture, the initiative reflected a commitment to standing beside vulnerable communities and ensuring that children continue to receive support, care, and dignity during difficult times.
The tour then continued to the Agro-Humanitarian Center in Kfarfalous, where the Ambassador discovered the different components of the project and their contribution to strengthening sustainable food security. Through agricultural support, local production, and food assistance programs, the initiative aims to create long-term resilience for families and communities across Lebanon.
At the packaging unit in Lebaa, Ambassador Magro followed the journey of local products from production to packaging, highlighting the importance of supporting local farmers while transforming their goods into food parcels distributed to families in need.
This visit stood as a powerful reminder that solidarity is most meaningful when transformed into concrete action — bringing hope, dignity, and lasting support to communities across Lebanon.
