The Order of Malta Lebanon welcomed Mr. Imran Riza, UN Deputy Special Coordinator, Resident, and Humanitarian Coordinator for Lebanon, for a courtesy visit at the Ain El Remmaneh Community Healthcare Center.
The visit offered an important opportunity to highlight the center’s ongoing role in providing essential primary healthcare services to vulnerable communities, particularly in a context where access to medical support remains a growing challenge for many families across the country.
During his tour, Mr. Riza was introduced to the Children Mobile Care Unit, one of the key outreach services designed to bring pediatric care directly to communities in need. He also visited the various sections of the center, witnessing firsthand the daily work carried out by medical and paramedical teams who ensure continuity of care for patients in a safe and dignified environment.
The visit included a meeting with the President of the Order of Malta Lebanon and members of the healthcare teams, providing a valuable platform for exchange on shared humanitarian priorities. Discussions focused on strengthening primary healthcare systems, enhancing community-based services, and reinforcing support mechanisms for populations facing increasing social and economic pressures.
Beyond the technical aspects, the visit reflected a shared commitment to people-centered care and to the importance of proximity in humanitarian response. It underscored the value of partnerships and coordination in ensuring that essential services remain accessible to those who need them most.
The Order of Malta Lebanon expresses its appreciation for this visit and for the continued engagement of humanitarian partners working alongside local teams to support health, dignity, and resilience in communities across Lebanon.
