Strengthening Agricultural Resilience: A Ministerial Visit to the Agro-Humanitarian Center in Kfarfalous
The Lebanese Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Nizar Hani, visited the Order of Malta Lebanon’s Agro-Humanitarian Center in Kfarfalous, accompanied by a delegation from the Ministry of Agriculture. The visit included a tour of the center’s facilities, notably the oil bottling and packaging units, which form part of the Order’s broader efforts to support local agricultural production and rural livelihoods.
During the visit, Dr. Hani was briefed on the center’s various initiatives aimed at enhancing food security, supporting small-scale farmers, and adding value to local agricultural products. The Agro-Humanitarian Center plays a key role in transforming agricultural output into processed goods, contributing to both economic sustainability and community resilience in surrounding rural areas.
The Minister commended the work undertaken by the Order of Malta Lebanon through these projects, highlighting their importance in strengthening the agricultural sector and supporting its long-term resilience.
