The Order of Malta Lebanon has been operating in the health and social welfare sectors since 1957. It manages a network of 60 projects serving the most vulnerable populations, across the Lebanese territory including primary healthcare centers, mobile medical units, elderly day care centers, hosting centers for the differently abled and projects for the displaced and refugees as well as an agro-humanitarian project within the catchment areas of its centers.
The Order of Malta Lebanon has developed a comprehensive multi-annual program to strengthen its social, agricultural and health services as well as its structures.

SUMMARY
The Field Communication Officer is responsible for collecting field-based communication content that highlights OML’s humanitarian and development impact. The role focuses on gathering human stories, testimonies, photos, videos, and outreach content directly from project locations, while working closely with field teams and Program Field Coordinators to ensure accurate, ethical, and impactful storytelling and community visibility.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Conduct regular field visits to collect human stories, testimonies, interviews, photos, videos, and outreach content from project locations.
· Work closely with Program Field Coordinators and field teams to identify relevant stories, beneficiaries, activities, and visibility opportunities.
· Capture high-quality visual and written content reflecting project impact, community engagement, and beneficiary experiences.
· Support outreach and visibility activities conducted at field level in coordination with program teams.
· Draft field stories, captions, testimonials, and short communication pieces for social media, donor visibility, and institutional communication.
· Ensure all collected content respects safeguarding principles, informed consent procedures, privacy, dignity, and ethical communication standards.
· Attend coordination meetings at Headquarters at least once per week.
· Ability to coordinate with local contacts and partners to collect communication materials, stories, photos, and videos when direct field access is limited or operational conditions require alternative arrangements
· Coordinate with the Communication Department to transfer, organize, and archive field communication materials.
· Support the documentation of project milestones, distributions, events, awareness sessions, and field activities.
· Ensure communication materials collected from the field align with OML branding and visibility guidelines.
· Assist in identifying communication opportunities that showcase project impact and community resilience.
· Develop strong relationships with local media, influencers and local stakeholders’ media teams with the support of the project’s field coordinators.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Solid work experience in communications preferable within renowned NGO
· Skills in photography, design, and editing
· Solid knowledge of the Lebanese media and NGO landscape.
· Experience with best practices around social media, content creation, media relations and events management
· Proven experience in storytelling and field-based content production.
· Valid driver's license and own vehicle (motorized).
· Ability to travel to the field and work closely with multidisciplinary teams.
· Ability to work independently while maintaining close coordination with Headquarters
· Sensitivity to humanitarian contexts and ethical storytelling principles.
· Strong communication skills
· Excellent organizational skills and strong sense of responsibility
· Ability to work in a multicultural environment and to demonstrate non-discriminatory behavior and attitudes
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word...)
· Proven expertise in graphic design and content editing
· Proficiency in Social Media platforms
· Fluency in Arabic, English and French
